Schiuma Project

The Schiuma Commission of the General San Martín Provincial Conservatory of Music has as its mission the conservation of the manuscript works of the Italian-Argentine composer Alfredo Luis Schiuma (1885-1963) and the diffusion of his artistic legacy. The Schiuma Project began in 2012 with the election of the figure of Maestro Schiuma to give its name to the General San Martín Conservatory. Nicolás Greco has coordinated the Schiuma Commission since 2015, with Mtro. Diego Licciardi (Musical Director), Prof. Agostina Fischy and Prof. Natalia Iarusso. During its first ten years of work, the San Martín Conservatory has recovered dozens of works by maestro Schiuma through the now famous Schiuma Galas, producing historical and current sound records, including symphonic works, opera, chamber music and works choral symphonic, material today available to the entire community on its internet space and YouTube audio library.
